About the Manufacturer
Going all the way back to 1937, Southwire got its start when founder Roy Richards started his own business installing power poles in his local community and surrounding areas. Thirteen years later he invested in three used machines and a handful of employees to found Southwire after serving our country in World War II and after he realized that actually making the wire himself was the only way to ensure that the poles he had previously installed would be usable. Since Southwire was founded, they have remained a family-owned business and have celebrated many milestones and have earned a well-deserved reputation for innovation and quality.
